You’ll find our services and rates on the dedicated page.
You’ll receive an invoice following your session with details on how to make payment via internet banking. Payment is due within 7-days of receiving your invoice.

We totally understand that life happens. If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, just let us know as soon as you can.
Because your session time is reserved exclusively for you, and we often have a waiting list of people needing support, we do require at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations.
More than 48 hours' notice: No fee is charged.
24 to 48 hours' notice: Incurs a 50% session fee.
Less than 24 hours' notice (or missing the session without letting us know): Incurs the full session fee.

The initial session is all about building a connection and understanding what's going on for you. There is no pressure to dive into your deepest vulnerabilities right away. You’ll chat about what brought you here, what you hope to get out of therapy, and discuss practical things like confidentiality and scheduling. It is also a great space for you to ask your therapist any questions and see if their approach feels like a good fit for you!
-
Yes, absolutely. If you are attending individual therapy, you are more than welcome to bring a support person or whānau member to your initial session to help you feel safe and comfortable. Usually, your support person will sit in for the first 10 to 15 minutes while we introduce ourselves and discuss confidentiality, and then step out for the remainder of the session so you have the space to speak freely.
Couples and family therapy operate a bit differently. Because the relationship itself is the client in these sessions, all index participants (both partners in couples therapy, or the designated whānau members in family therapy) must be booked into the session and attend from the very beginning.
If you’re unsure whether your situation requires individual support or a joint session, just let us know when you reach out and we can guide you on the best way forward.
-
That is completely okay! The therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in your growth. We welcome your feedback throughout the journey and we can explore making changes. If we decide to wrap up, we can discuss whether the other therapist in our practice is a better match for your style, or help with external referrals instead.

If you find yourself needing to speak with someone outside of our scheduled session times or on the weekend, you can access free, confidential, 24/7 support through Whakarongorau Aotearoa (National Telehealth Service) by calling or texting 1737.

If you or a loved one are experiencing an urgent mental health crisis where safety is an immediate concern, please do not wait for an email/text reply or for your next session. You should immediately:
Call 111 for emergency services.
Go to the nearest hospital Emergency Department (ED).
Contact your local Te Whatu Ora/Health NZ Crisis Team (Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team - CATT/CRS): 0800 745 477

We operate under the ethical frameworks of our respective Professional Body and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. What you share in therapy is strictly confidential, unless you provide consent for your therapist to share specific information with an external party.
Exceptions to confidentiality are only if we believe there is a serious, imminent risk of harm to you or someone else. This will also be discussed fully during your first session.
